Fifth 500-Bitcoin Tranche Linked to Clifton Collins Transferred to Coinbase Prime
A wallet associated with Irish cannabis dealer Clifton Collins has moved 500 Bitcoin to Coinbase Prime, continuing a series of recoveries across his seized holdings.
On Tuesday, October 20, an on-chain address linked to Clifton Collins deposited 500 BTC, valued at $41.52 million, to Coinbase Prime after remaining inactive for over a decade. Collins had previously reported his 6,000 BTC fortune lost in 2017 when keys kept in a fishing rod case were discarded.
The transaction marks the fifth transfer of exactly 500 BTC across Collins's holdings over the past seven months. The initial movement occurred on March 24, when 500 BTC was transferred to Coinbase alongside an announcement from Ireland's Criminal Assets Bureau and Europol regarding the recovery of a 500-token wallet.
Subsequent 500 BTC transfers occurred in May to a Binance address associated with Wintermute, on July 3 to Coinbase, and on August 28 to Coinbase. Across the twelve wallets that originally held Collins's 6,000 BTC, five have been emptied for a total of 2,500 BTC moved, leaving seven wallets containing approximately 3,500 BTC untouched.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
